The much-anticipated JFW Awards 2017 was held in the city and the event was graced by top professionals and celebrities from multiple fields. The ceremony, was held on September 23 at Sri Mutha Subbarao Hall in Chennai, will honour women from different fields like Jyothika, Mithali Raj, Seema Rao, Rama Rajamouli, Prashanti Tipirneni, Vani Jairam, Lakshmi Vijaykumar, Ruba Devi, Sai Pallavi and Ambika Pillai for excellence in their area of expertise. The event also had an exciting and entertaining performances that include an unplugged music segment by Vijay Yesudas and Mahathi, and dance performances by Aishwarya Rajesh and the Jimmiki Kammal girls Sheril and Anna, who would be making their debut stage performance since their YouTube video became a rage.
