See a tour of Tall Paul's front yard where he grows several types of fruit... Pakistastani Mulberry, Persian Mulberry, Negronne Fig, Peaches, Nectarines, Plums, Strawberry Tree, Apricots, Strawberries, Apples, "Li" Jujubee, Lamb Hass Avocado, Guava and Pineapple Guava. You don't have to have a large yard to grow fruit. When you see pictures of orchards, you see long rows with wide paths between... those are orchards set up for COMMERCIAL production! Did you know you can literally plant 4 Apple, Peach, Nectarine or Plum trees in the same hole???!!! You can also keep the trees at arm's reach so the fruit is easy to pick. (Now I'm 6'7" but you can keep the trees at any height!) The apples mentioned are grown in what is called "Espalier" fashion... grown in a "2D" fashion along a fence instead of 3D in a normal tree shape. This allows for growing with limited space issues and it is also attractive. Many say you can get as much production off of espalier growing... I don't know from my own experience, because this will be the first season with fruit on those trees. I planted them last year, so this is their second season on my property. I live in Oceanside, CA which is in San Diego County. I live 7 miles from the ocean (as the bird flies) so we get both cool weather and heat in the summer. Supposedly we get little frost, although this year the frost severely hurt my Avocado tree which I mention on the video. I cut it back pretty hard, but the little guy is coming back and will do well eventually. This is its third season in my yard... It yielded about 12 avocados last year. I started growing fruit trees as a total newbie in 2008 years ago and I now grow over 150 Varieties!!!
