A lengthy, comprehensive, linked collection of fripSide's best and most upbeat songs. (The chosen tracks are chronologically ordered as follows: tracks 1-22 are all songs published after 2009 (when Yoshino Nanjo was the vocalist), and tracks 23-44 are all songs published before 2009 (when nao was the vocalist). The remaining tracks are simply there to round off the whole medley. By listening to the entire thing (if your ears don't hurt after almost 4 hours of thumping beats and sonorous, high-pitched singing), you may begin to spot variations of certain themes, as well as similarities in the way the songs themselves are constructed (e.g. verse/chorus structure). This is chiefly because fripSide prides itself on being a band that creates music that is "accessible to everyone", and although not everyone may necessarily be a fan of trance, fripSide's genre of music, people may at least be able to appreciate the constancy and consistency of fripSide's music throughout the decade and a half in which they have been active. You may be able to compare the differences between nao's and Yoshino Nanjo's vocals. In my personal opinion, although nao has a more powerful and strident voice, she often finds trouble in hitting the highest notes without going out of tune. Yoshino Nanjo can handle them with ease, and has a smoother, gentler tone. (A couple of songs in this medley are sung by Erica, but her voice has a very similar quality to that of nao's.) The instrumentals themselves also change, as the production quality of their songs has increased drastically in recent years, with songs becoming much crisper and having less audible production noise. This is possibly due to technological advances, and due to access to much better equipment as fripSide grew from being simply an underground band to a mainstream staple of many prominent series today. Nevertheless, some people may still prefer the rawer, more guttural production of the earlier releases. Ultimately, I have tried to fit and blend together as many fripSide songs as YouTube would allow. If you are curious at all about the development of fripSide as a band, and how Sat (the composer) has evolved his own musical style to both adapt to the times and to reach out into a greater variety of instruments, whilst still keeping the core of his "accessible to everyone" music intact, then this medley should be worth a listen through.)
