Annamalai (Rajnikanth) and Ashok (Sarat Babu) are childhood friends who are now in their adulthood. When Ashok falls in love with Geetha (Rekha), Annamalai helps him marry her even though Ashok's father was dead against it. Infuriated by Annamalai's act Ashok's father (Radharavi) vows to break their friendship. He misuses Annamalai's trust which in turn brings Annamalai to the worst phase of his life. How Annamalai stands up to Ashok's father and reconciles with his close friend is what we'll have to wait and watch.
