Chinese Grammar: the Difference Between 的 地 and 得 | Learn Chinese Now

Hi everyone, welcome to Hanbridge Mandarin’s HSK program. Today we’ll compare two words, 合适 and 适合。 These two words have very similar meanings and even have the same character components. However, they are in different word classes.(词性不同) 大家好,今天我们学习怎么区分“合适”和“适合”这两个词。 合适is an adjective, it means suitable; appropriate; right. It’s normally used to describe something or somebody has the right qualities for a particular purpose or person, or situation 适合 is a verb, it means suit, fit.
