This is a slower version of the song from the 1986 series 西游记 (Journey to the West). One day the Tang monk Sānzàng is separated from his disciples by a windstorm cooked up by some forest spirits that have possessed the trees. He awakens later that night alone in a serene wood, the 'Tree-Immortals Hermitage', and is inspired by the scenery to utter poetry. Four tree-spirits arrive personified as aged sages, and they exchange poems with him.
