快樂功德門 招福德正神咒

Filmed in 2010 (commentary and subtitles recently added) this video documents an 'Oil Wok' ritual performed to mark the anniversary of this remarkable temple. Overseen first by Ji Gong and then by Tua Ya Pek, and with the help of other deities tranced through their mediums, the medicinal oil was cooked and empowered, and then given away the next day to the elderly as an emollient against aches and pains. During the ritual, both mediums and the public laid their hands in the hot oil. The video ends with Tua Ya Pek slicing his tongue with a shard of porcelain to let blood in order to mark sacred objects to give to his followers and devotees.
