New Coastal Pacific Train 2014 - Part 1 - from the Drivers Cab and Open Air Observation Carriage.

This was a special cut I put together for Kiwirail so they could have a look at the footage I took over a period of a couple of weeks early this year. It was part of a larger project that will take some time to put together. Starting at the coal load depot in Ngakawau on the West coast of the South Island, through to Refton then onto Otira where the bankers take the train through the Otira tunnel to Arthurs Pass. Then across the Southern Alps through to Lyttleton where the coal is loaded onto ships destine for Asia. Special thanks to all who helped me.
