A team of office-bearers of the South Indian Film Writers Association led by its president K. Bhagyaraj submitted a complaint with the Commissioner of Police on Monday, alleging that the former office-bearers had diverted funds. In their complaint, they alleged that the past team of office-bearers including former president actor Visu, vice-president Piraisoodan and treasurer Madhumitha had violated the by-laws and set up a trust to which funds amounting to ₹37.10 lakh had been diverted. The complaint further stated that the past office-bearers had been asked to furnish accounts for the same, which they had refused to respond to.
