Jalan Alor (Alor Street) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jalan Alor (Alor Street) is located in central Kuala Lumpur near Jalan Bukit Bintang. This street is full of outdoor restaurants and food stalls selling an amazing variety of foods and dishes. This video takes a casual walk down Jalan Alor in late afternoon - just before all the crowds arrive. In the evenings, this street is very crowded with locals and tourists sampling the many cuisines from south-east asia. Buskers pump out the entertainment and there is a fun, foodie and frenetic atmosphere along the whole street. A variety of meat, seafood, vegetable, rice and noodle dishes are on offer as well as food stalls selling fresh juices, tropical fruits, icecreams, chestnuts and other delights. As well as Malaysian cuisine you will find thai food, chinese food, cambodian food and filipino food. ============================== KL's biggest collection of roadside restaurants sprawls along Jalan Alor, just north of Jalan Bukit Bintang. From around 5pm till late every evening, the street transforms into a continuous open-air restaurant, with hundreds of plastic tables and chairs and rival caterers shouting out to passers-by to drum up business. Most places serve alcohol and you can sample pretty much every Malay, Chinese and Thai dish imaginable, from grilled fish and satay to kai-lan (Chinese greens) in oyster sauce and fried noodles with frogs' legs. The best way to experience the food street is to stroll along looking at the signs and the dishes on the tables to see what takes your fancy. =================================== Music Credit: Spirit In The Sky - Norman Greenbaum Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 14 CyberLink PowerDirector14
